I'd like to take a moment...
...to thank you for your offers.
I've had a large number of folks contact me both publicly and privately with offers and/or requests to look over my materials. Some have done so for the reward of the sneak peek, and others have done so for the reward of "more eyes, less errors."
Not to diminish your offers & requests (I certainly appreciate your enthusiasm!), but I'd like to think my editors did a good job (my testers too), such that the errors have been kept to an absolute minimum (I'd be a fool to think the 900+ pages are 100% error free... but here's to hope).
Additionally, the materials have been in "edit" status for the better part of 6 months. During that time I was working closely with three individuals and one group of individuals, not to mention my own efforts. As a result, the books has seen hundreds of hours worth of editing, and... I'd like to think that's enough.
I really don't want to hold the project up any more than it already has been. My original expectation is that the book would be finalized by Janurary 1. Now it's looking like finalization is right around April 1. I don't think a 3 month delay is a stretch, although I would have liked to avoid it.
That being said...
The Final Draft is in.
I received word late last night that the updated copy of the materials (which was primarily the Watermark transparency enchancement) is complete.
First order of business, the moment my day is complete, is to compile the material, and check the update for total consistency. Assuming I see no further problems, I will be sending the documents to my printer for approval for test printing, round two.
That's it for now!
