Off Topic: The Chronicles of "Of Course Brugo Did" - Chapter 4: There Are FOUR Towns!
>>> Chapter 3 <<<
>>> The Prelude <<<
This next one's just a bit of short fun. Not a lot of story here, just fantastic applications of math... from a character's persepctive.
So, just as a reminder 4/5 of the party consists of country kids, who've never before seen a town larger than 50-90 people. Therefore, the concept of a "city," is... a bit foreign to them... some moreso than others... as you will see.
During our adventures to this point, we left the burnt down remains of the woodland town that is their home (1).
We've passed through a lone hunting lodge in the woods (not a town).
We also shacked up in a broken-down ruin of a single cottage (also, not a town).
We helped clear those ruins in the potions town (2).
And we arrived to the city on the waterfront, the first "city" the kids have ever seen (3).
So... three actual towns right?
One member of the group (Cleric) decided that we'd actually been in 4. And then 5. I couldn't even tell you what the number is up to now.
We've actually questioned him about what cities we'd passed through. That one. That one. And that one.
Yup! Then the other two!
What other two?
Those two. The two outside the other cities.
Those aren't cities! Those ARE these cities.
Nooooooo. Cities aren't THAT big.
We're trying to figure out if he's unknowingly trolling (or knowingly) or whether he's just playing off being a backwaters kid really, really hard... We've yet to decide.
However, for further clarity. We consulted a counting expert.
And he agreed that we'd been in three cities. And then he wanted to eat a sheep.
Next time, on The Chronicles of "Of Course Brugo Did," Stag (Snipe) Hunting!
